Magnificent realism
The Madrid Realists are really popular, at least in the capital. The exhibition at the Thyssen was crowded. Apart from Antoñito, I’ve always admired Maribel Quintanilla whose little picture of a glass (a Duralex one, of course, like the dishes in all of them) is magnificent.
With her well-known scorn for the media, Maribel died not long ago, but her friends will never forget her.
